Since 2011, the Zic sur le Zinc festival has enlivened the summer evenings of the Coutances region by offering free aperitif-concerts in the bars and cafés of the area. This itinerant festival, supported by the Tourist Office of Coutances mer et bocage, has become a must-attend event for lovers of live music and conviviality.

A Simple and Festive Concept

The concept of Zic sur le Zinc is as simple as it is effective: each evening, a bar or café carefully selected for its atmosphere, charm, or sunny terrace hosts an artist or group for a free concert starting at 7 PM. The happy hour accompanies the music, creating a warm atmosphere where neighbors, regulars, and visitors gather around a drink and catchy tunes.

Ten Evenings, Ten Locations, Ten Ambiences

Each edition offers about ten events spread over several months, from June to October. The locations change from one evening to another, allowing the public to discover sometimes little-known establishments in the towns of Coutances, Hambye, Gouville-sur-Mer, Ouville, and other villages in the Norman countryside. This itinerant nature is the richness of the festival and contributes to the promotion of local businesses.

An Eclectic Program

The Zic sur le Zinc program showcases musical diversity: French chanson, rock, pop, jazz, reggae, rap, folk...
