About 2SDR

Les Saints Sauveurs du Rock (2SDR) is a rock festival created in 2009 by Julien Lavalo in Saint-Sauveur-Lendelin, in Manche. Born from the desire of a few friends to bring together three bands from the small town in central Manche, the festival has become an unmissable annual event for rock lovers, welcoming national and international bands such as Trust, Tagada Jones, Les Fatals Picards, and Elmer Food Beat. Organized every autumn at the Espace culturel Louis Costel, this indoor festival offers a festive and family-friendly evening where rock is king.

Les Saints Sauveurs du Rock: Rock at the Heart of the Manche Countryside

Created in 2009 by Julien Lavalo, the festival Les Saints Sauveurs du Rock β€” abbreviated 2SDR β€” was born from a simple idea: to bring together three bands from the small town of Saint-Sauveur-Lendelin, in the heart of the Manche countryside. What was initially just an evening among friends has become a recognized rock festival that attracts hundreds of spectators every autumn to the Espace culturel La Presse de la Manche - Louis Costel.

Headliners

Over the years, Les Saints Sauveurs du Rock has hosted nationally and internationally renowned bands: Trust, Elmer Food Beat, Tagada Jones, Les Fatals Picards, Ko Ko Mo, La Ruda, Meteor, and many others. The programming mixes rock, punk, alternative rock, and French rock chanson, offering an eclectic panorama of the French and international rock scene.

An Indoor, Family-Friendly, and Convivial Festival

Unlike many summer outdoor festivals, Les Saints Sauveurs du Rock is held indoors in the autumn at the Espace culturel Louis Costel in Saint-Sauveur-Lendelin (a town now part of Saint-Sauveur-Villages). The indoor format guarantees optimal sound quality and an intimate atmosphere conducive to rock concerts. The festival aims to be family-friendly, with activities for children through the Β« Kids du Rock Β» organized alongside the main festival.

Steady Growth

Since its creation, the festival has grown steadily. The 10th-anniversary edition in 2018 marked a turning point by offering two evenings instead of one for the first time, attracting 2,500 spectators. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the festival bounced back stronger in the following years, confirming its place in the cultural landscape of Manche.
