About Les Passeurs de Blues

Every year, Les Passeurs de Blues brings together blues and southern rock bands in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and the surrounding Val de Saire villages for a weekend of indoor and street concerts. Founded by three passionate guitarists, the Norman association behind the festival held its first edition in late October 2022. The program is built around the spirit of sharing and transmission: alongside the concerts, the two-day event features guitar, harmonica, and vocal workshops, as well as a vinyl record stall and a specialized bookstore.

Les Passeurs de Blues — edition 2026

For its fifth edition, Les Passeurs de Blues brings two days of concerts to Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, preceded by an event in Saint-Pierre-Église and a film night in Cherbourg. Little Peter and the Mellowtones, a Toulouse-based band renowned for their Stevie Ray Vaughan-inspired solos, will close the weekend at the Salle Max-Pol Fouchet alongside the local duo Mannheim. In addition to the ticketed concerts, fourteen bands will perform for free in the streets of the town.

A fifth edition spanning indoor and outdoor stages

The 2026 edition features three main events: a film-concert evening in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin on September 24th, an evening in Saint-Pierre-Église on October 14th, and the heart of the festival in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue on October 24th and 25th. The Blues Collectiv', an eighteen-piece band led by Didier Cantegrit—one of the association's three founders—will open the weekend with a concert-lecture on the Texan and Southern roots of the blues.

Alongside the concerts, the festival village in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue will host artist meet-and-greets, a luthier, an instrument exhibition, and a record stall.
