About Montfarville Travel Festival

Every year, the Travel Festival brings together globe-trotters at the Halle aux Grains in Quettehou to share their films and field reports: from hiking expeditions and world tours to portraits of far-off countries. The Promotion Culturelle Montfarvillaise association hosts two afternoons of screenings, complemented by photography and watercolor exhibitions, as well as a special feature-length session on Saturday evening.

Montfarville Travel Festival — edition 2026

For its thirteenth edition, the festival presents two afternoons of filmed travelogues: Madagascar, Cuba, Vietnam, Scotland, and Mali, all shared by the travelers themselves. On Saturday evening, a special feature presentation will be dedicated to the Manaslu trek in Nepal, hosted by filmmaker Roland Dozière. There will also be an exhibition of portraits from around the world and a pastry sale during the intermissions.

Practical information — Montfarville Travel Festival

Screenings are held at the Halle aux Grains, Place du Marché in Quettehou (Manche). Booking is recommended for afternoon screenings and mandatory for the Saturday evening session and dinner. The festival showcases documentaries under 40 minutes long, with occasional features up to 52 minutes, exploring adventure in all its forms: expeditions, world travels, and portraits of fellow travelers. Each screening is followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker, while intermissions feature an exhibition of global portraits and various association stands.
