About Premiers Émois
Premiers Émois is a performing arts festival dedicated to early childhood, organized every autumn by the Théâtre en Rance association across the Dinan Agglomération area. Established in 2004, it invites four professional companies each year to perform their works for children aged 0-3 in venues throughout the region. The 24 performances per edition—comprising 16 school sessions and 8 public sessions—bring together approximately 1,200 spectators.

The 21st edition of Premiers Émois takes place from October 5th to 9th, 2026, in Saint-Carné, La Vicomté-sur-Rance, and Pleslin-Trigavou. Four companies will present 24 performances for children aged 0-3: Sillons. and Inuksuk (Compagnie Zeïf), Petite forêt (Compagnie Lilaho), and Moi émois (Compagnie les Voyageurs immobiles).

The 21st edition runs from Monday, October 5th to Friday, October 9th, 2026, across three towns in the Dinan Agglomération: Saint-Carné, La Vicomté-sur-Rance, and Pleslin-Trigavou. Four companies are putting on 24 shows, including 16 sessions reserved for schools, groups, and early childhood centers, and 8 public sessions at 5:30 PM.
Booking and Tickets
Booking is mandatory. Each show has a capacity of 50 people, and some sessions sell out before the festival begins. Public tickets go on sale September 3rd via HelloAsso. Schools, nurseries, early childhood facilities, childminders, and groups should book using the form available by contacting [email protected].
Prices
Flat rate: €6 for children, €8 for adults.
A raffle will be held during the festival to win a cuddly toy from our partner, Maïlou.
Premiers Émois is co-funded by the Dinan Agglomération, the Côtes-d'Armor department, and the Brittany region.

A festival for first impressions
Premiers Émois is a performing arts festival entirely devoted to early childhood. The Théâtre en Rance association, founded in 1992 in Dinan, launched the event in 2004 with European Leader+ funding, making it the first Breton festival aimed at baby spectators. It kicks off the association's cultural season, preceding Les Jacobambins, the youth season for ages 4-12 that runs from November to June. Early childhood centers, daycares, childminders, and families are invited over several days to follow an awakening journey for 0-3 year olds alongside professional artists.
Four companies, 24 performances
Each edition hosts four companies performing works specifically designed for very young audiences, including music, dance, object theater, and immersive, sensory experiences, with durations ranging from 25 to 35 minutes. The 24 performances are divided into 16 school sessions, reaching about 800 children and chaperones, and 8 public sessions, welcoming around 400 spectators.
