The Grande Brocante de Chambord: an unmissable event for bargain hunters

For nearly three decades, the Grande Brocante de Chambord has established itself as one of the most prestigious flea markets in France. Every year, on May 1st, the village of Chambord and the majestic south parterre of the Château de Chambord host this exceptional event, in a UNESCO World Heritage setting.

A national and European scale event

The flea market brings together around 500 exhibitors, both professionals and individuals, selected for the quality of their merchandise. Only antique, flea market, and collectible items are permitted — no garage sales, no new items. This requirement attracts a discerning and passionate audience, composed of collectors, antique dealers, and lovers of rare objects from all over Europe.

An exceptional heritage setting

The Château de Chambord, a jewel of the French Renaissance commissioned by François I, offers an incomparable backdrop for this day. The village streets, lined with old houses, transform into a maze of stalls brimming with treasures: antique furniture, art objects, tableware, rare books, vintage jewelry, old toys, posters, lighting, and curiosities of all kinds. The atmosphere is both warm and effervescent, blending the excitement of discovery with the pleasure of a stroll.

A well-organized and friendly event

Organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Chambord, the Grande Brocante benefits from proven logistics: free admission, free parking, on-site catering, and refreshments. Stall reservations are made exclusively online on the official website www.brocantedechambord.fr. The event attracts over 50,000 visitors each year, making May 1st in Chambord a must-date in the calendar for flea market enthusiasts.

A preserved natural setting

Beyond the flea market, the day offers an opportunity to enjoy the Domaine National de Chambord, its French gardens, its game-rich forest, and its walks along the Cosson river. Visitors can combine their hunt for antiques with the discovery or rediscovery of one of the most beautiful castles in the Loire Valley.
