Friendly and gourmet festival at the Privas Theater
Launched in 2024 by Laurent Cellier, director of the Privas Theater, a conventioned stage Art en Territoire – Centre Ardèche, the Happy Festival was born from a desire to celebrate living together, conviviality, and intergenerational connection. For a week in spring, the theater and its surroundings vibrate to the rhythm of an eclectic and generous program, designed for all ages and tastes.
The Happy Festival traditionally opens with a unique gastronomic concert cabaret. The 2024 edition hosted "L'Immense Petit Cabaret", a talented Parisian troupe, in partnership with chef Florian Descours from the restaurant La Bòria for an unprecedented culinary and artistic experience. Music, performance, and gastronomy merge in a moment of sharing and pleasure.
The Happy Festival program mixes disciplines: traditional dances with groups like Ciac Boum, one of the best folk dance orchestras in France; mental magic concerts with the company Raoul Lambert; dance performances and magic shows for young audiences. The festival also features rock concerts with original bands like The Wackids, who reinterpret rock classics on toy instruments.
Sunday is traditionally dedicated to families, with two shows for young audiences and participatory workshops: circus, writing, giant games, and snacks with ice cream and crepe food trucks. The Happy Festival cultivates a warm and accessible atmosphere, where everyone finds their place to discover, share, and marvel together.
The Happy Festival returns to the Privas Theater in April 2026 for its 3rd edition. A week of shows, music, gastronomy, and encounters marked by conviviality and living together.
The program will feature a gastronomic cabaret to open the festivities, live performances (theater, dance, music, magic), a family day with shows for young audiences and participatory workshops. Check the Privas Theater website for the detailed program and ticketing.
The Happy Festival takes place at the Privas Theater, Chemin de Clastre, 07000 Privas.
Shows are held in the evening (8 PM) on weekdays, and during the day on Sundays (family shows and workshops).
Check the Privas Theater website for ticketing and prices for each show.
