Hey Go Festival: sport, music and culture in the heart of Haute-Loire
The Hey Go Festival is a festive and participatory event held every first weekend of July at the Équi'libre Les Eygauds equestrian center, in Bas-en-Basset, Haute-Loire. Created in 2019 by the Association Hey Go, this unique festival was born from the desire to bring together people from different backgrounds for a lively event combining outdoor sports activities, culture, and local discovery.
A nature festival open to all
The Hey Go Festival stands out for its multidisciplinary program, designed to bring together families, athletes, nature lovers, and culture enthusiasts. The setting of the Équi'libre Les Eygauds equestrian center, nestled in the Loire Valley countryside in Haute-Loire, offers an ideal environment for an outdoor weekend, just 25 minutes from Saint-Étienne and 35 minutes from Le Puy-en-Velay.
Marked trails for all tastes
The heart of the festival lies in its marked trails for hiking, horseback riding, or mountain biking through the rolling landscapes of Haute-Loire. Each route is adapted to different levels, offering walkers, riders, and mountain bikers the opportunity to discover the paths and trails around Bas-en-Basset in a preserved natural setting.
Rustic cinema and documentaries
The festival features outdoor documentary film screenings in a rustic cinema atmosphere. Three films are presented over the weekend, followed by discussions with the directors present. An original way to raise public awareness of environmental issues, the discovery of territories, and inspiring human stories.
Producers' market and workshops
A gourmet market of local producers allows festival-goers to discover and taste the flavors of Haute-Loire and its surroundings. Participatory workshops complete the program, inviting young and old to learn various practices related to nature, ecology, and local know-how.
Concert evening
Each edition of the Hey Go Festival concludes with a concert evening featuring three bands on stage. The musical program, eclectic and festive, blends various styles from gypsy jazz to rock and Eastern European music, in a warm and friendly atmosphere under the stars.
On-site accommodation
The festival offers on-site camping (dry toilets) as well as pitches for horses with water access, allowing riders to stay on site. External accommodation (municipal campsite, gîtes, B&Bs) is also available nearby.
