Jazz au Village: Jazz in the heart of Drôme villages
Every summer, from early July to mid-July, Jazz au Village fills the most beautiful villages of the Drôme valley with jazz. Organized by the Crest Jazz association, these open-air concerts are an enchanting prelude to the Crest Jazz Festival held in late July - early August.
A unique and friendly format
The concept of Jazz au Village is simple and appealing: each evening, a jazz concert is held in a different village in the Drôme valley. The stages take over unusual and picturesque locations: shaded squares, Provençal farmhouse courtyards, castle gardens, church parvis. This itinerant nature gives each evening a unique character, where music blends with the beauty of the Drôme landscapes and rural heritage.

A varied and demanding program
The Jazz au Village program mixes emerging artists and established musicians, vocal and instrumental jazz, acoustic and electric. The concerts offer a rich panorama of the contemporary jazz scene, with discoveries and moments of grace in intimate settings that foster proximity between artists and the public.
In 2025, the concert series offered about ten evenings from July 5th to 19th, with artists such as Berzingue, Felipe Silva Mena Trio, Katz, Laura Perrudin, Flavia Coelho and many others, confirming the quality and diversity of the programming.
A strong link with the territory
Jazz au Village is more than just a series of concerts: it weaves a strong link between music and the territory. By investing the villages of the valley, the festival brings culture closer to the residents, revitalizes rural communities, and attracts visitors curious to discover the Drôme in a different way. Each evening is an opportunity for encounters between artists, residents, and festival-goers, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality that is the hallmark of Crest Jazz.
A prelude to the main festival
Jazz au Village works in perfect complementarity with the Crest Jazz Festival. It helps create a cultural dynamic throughout the summer in the Drôme valley and offers programmed artists their first contact with the Drôme audience before the main stages of the festival.
Jazz au Village — edition 2026
Jazz au Village 2026 returns from July 5 to 18 for five open-air jazz evenings in the villages of the Drôme valley, as a prelude to the Crest Jazz Festival (August 2-8, 2026). Five concerts at 9 PM, in Beaufort-sur-Gervanne, Livron-sur-Drôme, Aouste-sur-Sye, Eurre and Puy-Saint-Martin, mixing modern jazz, vocal jazz, Afro-Cuban influences and a tribute to Michel Legrand.
Jazz au Village 2026: Five Concerts in the Drôme Valley
From July 5 to 18, 2026, the Crest Jazz association offers five open-air jazz evenings in the villages of the Drôme valley. Each concert starts at 9 PM and takes place in a picturesque location: rampart garden, village square, open-air café, village hall forecourt, communal park. The format is intimate: one concert per evening, in a bucolic setting, meeting residents and visitors.
A Varied Program
The 2026 program mixes modern, vocal and instrumental jazz, featuring emerging groups highlighted by Crest Jazz. It includes recent winners of the Crest national vocal jazz competition (Menalua, 2025), a trio formed after a tour in Colombia (Trio Atrato), a tribute to Michel Legrand (Luna's Quartet) and a voice-vibraphone-double bass trio (Velvet Vibes).
A Prelude to the Crest Jazz Festival
Jazz au Village works in complementarity with the Crest Jazz Festival, whose 50th edition will be held from August 2 to 8, 2026 in Crest. This series of concerts allows the Crest Jazz association to extend its program throughout the summer and bring jazz closer to the inhabitants of the Drôme valley.

Sunday, July 5, 2026 — Beaufort-sur-Gervanne
- 9:00 PM — Cascades Trio · Jardin des Remparts. Trio led by singer Vanessa Hidden with Adlane Aliouche (keyboards) and Nazim Aliouche (percussion, guitar). Modern jazz blending vocal poetry, Afro-Latin percussion and electronic textures.
Monday, July 6, 2026 — Livron-sur-Drôme
- 9:00 PM — Trio Atrato · Place de l'ancienne Église. Trio formed after a tour in Colombia in 2023, bringing together Adlane Aliouche (piano), Jean-Baptiste Baldazza (drums) and Félix Semet (bass, guitar). Afro-Cuban rhythms, improvisation and dreamlike ballads.
Tuesday, July 7, 2026 — Aouste-sur-Sye
- 9:00 PM — Menalua · La Guinguette. Quartet with Mathilde Gardien (vocals, piano), Romain Salmon (guitars), Mathieu Scala (bass) and Basile Gueguen (drums). Modern jazz, Latin influences and intimate song. First prize at the Vannes National Jazz Showcase 2024 and the Crest Vocal Jazz Competition 2025.
Friday, July 17, 2026 — Eurre
- 9:00 PM — Luna's Quartet · Parvis de la salle des fêtes. Luna Garcia Odin (vocals) accompanied by Benoît Convert (guitar), Philippe « Pipon » Garcia (drums) and Basile Mouton (bass). Tribute to Michel Legrand: film scores and great melodies by the composer.
Saturday, July 18, 2026 — Puy-Saint-Martin
- 9:00 PM — Velvet Vibes · Parc Adèle Clément. Voice-vibraphone-double bass trio with Michellemarie Claassen (vocals), Sylvain Charrier (vibraphone) and Gil Lachenal (double bass). Refined vocal jazz, without piano or drums.
In case of bad weather, concerts will be moved indoors.
