The jazz festival of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine powered by the association Jazz au Confluent
Organized every March by the association Jazz au Confluent, Jazzenville is the unmissable jazz event in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine in the Yvelines. For two weeks, the festival takes over the town's venues — Conservatoire George-Gershwin, Théâtre Simone-Signoret, MJC Les Terrasses, Médiathèque Blaise-Cendrars — with a demanding program mixing international headliners, acoustic jazz, blues, soul, and educational workshops in schools. Driven exclusively by passionate volunteers since 2005, Jazzenville keeps jazz alive in the heart of the "city of sailors".
Every March, Conflans-Sainte-Honorine embraces jazz thanks to Jazzenville, the festival organized by the association Jazz au Confluent. Founded in 2002 by a handful of enthusiasts, including Dan Duparc, the association's first president, Jazz au Confluent set out to promote jazz in all its forms within the town. Launched in 2005, the festival is now one of the major musical events in the northern Yvelines.
One of Jazzenville's unique features is that it is entirely run by volunteers, some of whom are amateur musicians themselves. This community spirit translates into an authentic program, free from commercial pressures, prioritizing artistic quality and discovery. The Jazz au Confluent association also organizes concerts throughout the year, but it is during Jazzenville that its ambition truly comes to life.
The festival takes place in several of the town's cultural venues, offering a unique atmosphere for each concert:
Jazzenville aims to bridge generations and styles. Jazz legends share the stage with promising young talents, swing dialogues with blues, soul, and improvised music. The festival places a special emphasis on educational workshops in schools, with activities and concerts for young audiences introducing them to the world of jazz.
The 2026 edition notably highlighted "Women in Jazz", a female quartet performing in the town's schools to raise students' awareness of the role of women in jazz history. A moving tribute was also paid to Dan Duparc, a historic figure and pillar of the local jazz scene, through an exhibition and a tribute concert at MJC Les Terrasses.
Referenced by Paris Jazz Club and the Europe Jazz Network, Jazzenville contributes to the influence of jazz far beyond the borders of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine. Its local roots, quality programming, and friendly atmosphere make it a valuable festival in the Île-de-France jazz scene, where music is experienced through close interaction between artists and the public.
The 21st edition of Jazzenville takes place from March 11 to 24, 2026, in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine. For two weeks, the festival takes over the Conservatoire George-Gershwin, Théâtre Simone-Signoret, MJC Les Terrasses, Médiathèque, and Vinyle Vintage Studio with a rich program including China Moses, Dmitry Baevsky, Arthur Links, and a tribute to Dan Duparc.
For its 21st edition, Jazzenville presents an ambitious program from March 11 to 24, 2026, across five venues in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine. The festival spans two full weeks, confirming its growing scale.
The headliner for this edition is China Moses, a Franco-American jazz and soul singer, who will perform on March 20 at the Théâtre Simone-Signoret. Saxophonist Dmitry Baevsky, a figure of New York acoustic jazz, will open the concerts at the Conservatoire on March 14, while the trio of Arthur Links will close the program at the Conservatoire on March 21.
A particularly emotional moment will mark this edition: a tribute to Dan Duparc, a historic figure and the first president of Jazz au Confluent, with an exhibition and a tribute concert on March 17 at MJC Les Terrasses. The "Women in Jazz" program, a female quartet, will conduct workshops in the town's schools to raise students' awareness of the role of women in jazz history.
