Multidisciplinary festival of music, dance and arts at Jardin Mirandou in Montfaucon-en-Velay
Created in 2019 by the association Le Son d'Yssi, the Le Campagn'Art festival has quickly established itself as a must-attend artistic and festive event in the Pays de Montfaucon, Haute-Loire. Located at the Jardin Mirandou, a green space on Avenue de la Gare in Montfaucon-en-Velay, the festival offers a day (then two days from the 4th edition) of festivities each summer, combining music, visual arts, dance, and live performance.
The strength of Campagn'Art lies in the diversity of its musical programming. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists of various styles: swing with Akéstèko, funk with Nanolichen and Freaky Fucking Funk, rock with Sink Deeper and Boeuf à Gogo, hip-hop with Vice & Versa, burlesque chanson with Maggy Bolle, and even 90s techno with DJ Paradoxe. The evenings continue until 1 or 2 AM, transforming the garden into a true open-air concert hall.
The festival afternoons are dedicated to artist exhibitions on the barefoot path of Jardin Mirandou, art craftsman demonstrations (painting, sculpture, basketry), contemporary dance, and family shows. The Souffleurs de lune company offered collective singing, the duo Flow et Math presented their contemporary dance piece “Rupture,” and clowns Laurin and NomNom delighted both young and old. An open stage also allows invited musicians to perform.
The association Le Son d'Yssi, founded in 2017 by young residents of Yssingeaux, brings together a team of volunteers from almost all of Haute-Loire, as well as from Ardèche and Loire. Convinced of the importance of arts and culture as vectors of social connection in rural areas, they created Le Campagn'Art with the motto “When the wolves sleep, the pigs party.” The festival collaborates with the Bachat association for the fair and implements a “safe team” of trained volunteers to ensure a welcoming and secure environment for all festival-goers.
The Jardin Mirandou offers an idyllic setting for this outdoor festival, with its barefoot path, shaded areas, and rustic ambiance. Located at over 1,000 meters above sea level on the Velay plateau, Montfaucon-en-Velay is a charming village at the gateway to Mézenc, offering a remarkable panorama of the Ardèche and Velay mountains.
The Le Campagn'Art festival returns to the Jardin Mirandou in Montfaucon-en-Velay for a new edition in July 2026. The association Le Son d'Yssi and its team of volunteers are preparing a festive and artistic program true to the festival's spirit: eclectic concerts, artist exhibitions, art craftsman demonstrations, contemporary dance, and shows for the whole family.
The detailed program, schedule, and ticketing information will be announced on the Facebook page Campagn'Art and on the HelloAsso platform in spring 2026.
The festival takes place at Jardin Mirandou, 30 avenue de la Gare, 43290 Montfaucon-en-Velay, in Haute-Loire (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes). The site is accessible right next to the Montfaucon-en-Velay train station.
The festival traditionally takes place in July. The first editions offered a single day from 2 PM to 1 AM. Since the 4th edition (2022), the festival has extended to two days: Friday evening (gates open at 6:30 PM, concerts from 8 PM to 2 AM) and Saturday (exhibitions from 2 PM, afternoon performances, evening concerts).
A bar and a food area are available on site throughout the festival. The fair is organized in partnership with the Bachat association.
A team of “safe team” volunteers is present on site to ensure the well-being of all festival-goers and to intervene in case of inappropriate behavior.
