Le Cri de la Goutte: music and nature in the heart of the Jura
Since 2021, Le Cri de la Goutte has echoed through the Jura mountains of Chézery-Forens every summer. This intimate, eco-responsible festival is the work of a collective of six associations based in the Valserine valley, united by the ambition to create a festive event, open to all, in the exceptional setting of the hamlet of Menthières.
Two evenings of open-air concerts
The festival's heartbeat is its two evenings of open-air concerts, set against a breathtaking mid-mountain backdrop. The eclectic and ambitious musical programme champions discoveries and emerging artists, while welcoming established headliners. Rock, folk, reggae, electronic music, world music: genres cross and blend to deliver a rich and diverse musical experience.
Quality artists
Since its creation, Le Cri de la Goutte has welcomed acclaimed artists and emerging talent from the French and international scene:
- 2024: Flavia Coelho, Electro Deluxe, Jahneration, KO KO MO, Sidi Wacho, Tracy De Sà & The Defenders
- 2025: Tiken Jah Fakoly, Féfé, Fakear, La Nefera, Lulu Van Trapp, Les Frères Timal
Each edition renews the surprises and musical encounters, in a convivial and welcoming atmosphere.
An activity village in the heart of nature
On Saturday, the festival transforms into a genuine activity village open from 10am to 6pm. More than thirty free activities are offered to festival-goers of all ages:
- Outdoor sports: paragliding flights, climbing, tree-top adventure, biathlon taster sessions, themed hikes
- Wellbeing: ecstatic dance, yoga and outdoor relaxation

This festive day, entirely free, makes Le Cri de la Goutte a unique event that goes beyond a simple music festival to become a true celebration of mountain life.
An eco-responsible commitment
Le Cri de la Goutte carries a strong commitment to eco-responsibility. The organising collective takes care to limit the festival's environmental impact: waste management, short supply chains for catering, and raising public awareness about respecting nature. The Menthières site, at the heart of a preserved natural environment, embodies this determination to reconcile celebration with environmental stewardship.
An intergenerational festival
Le Cri de la Goutte is a place where generations come together around music, sport and nature. From the youngest to the eldest, everyone finds their place in this warm and inclusive atmosphere. The festival thus affirms its vocation: to create social bonds, enhance the territory and offer an unforgettable moment of sharing in an exceptional natural setting.
