Stand-up comes to the Cantal mountains

Created in 2024 by the collectif De l'Eau aux Moulins, the Micro Festival du Stand-up brings a touch of humor and freshness to the cultural scene of Murat. The idea was born from the desire to offer a quality humorous event in a rural area where cultural offerings, while rich in heritage and gastronomy, lacked a dedicated event for laughter and stand-up.

An intimate and generous format

The Micro Festival concept is designed for conviviality: 3 artists, 3 shows, 3 hours of laughter. Each comedian has about an hour to present their show, with intermissions allowing spectators to eat and chat. The free and conscious pricing makes the event accessible to everyone, whether you want to attend one show or the entire evening.

Talented comedians on the Murat stage

Despite its youth, the festival has already hosted notable talents from the French stand-up scene. The first edition, on August 26, 2024, featured Briac, Amandine Lourdel, and Ghislain Blique. The second edition, on October 18, 2025, presented shows by Emma de Foucaud, Monsieur Tristan (an interactive show about music that varies according to the audience's choices), and Perrine Déza.

The Halle de Murat, an arena of laughter

The festival takes place in the Halle de Murat, a heritage building located in the heart of this charming town nestled at the foot of the Rocher de Bonnevie, at an altitude of 930 meters. This historic venue offers a unique and intimate setting for comedy nights. Food and drinks are available from 6 PM, allowing spectators to spend a full evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

A collective committed to local culture

The collectif De l'Eau aux Moulins is a cultural association based in Murat that works to revitalize the cultural life of the Hautes Terres du Cantal region.
