Exhibition of artists from Auxerrois: painting, sculpture, photography and multidisciplinary arts
The association Les 4'Arts perpetuates a long artistic tradition in Auxerre. Originating from the Société Auxerroise des Arts founded in 1858, then renamed Les 4'Arts in January 2018, it now brings together about eighty artists from the Yonne region: painters, sculptors, photographers, draftsmen, videographers, and collage artists.
Every autumn, the Les 4'Arts Autumn Exhibition takes over Auxerrexpo for two days of celebration of the visual arts. Around fifty artists exhibit their works to a large audience, who come to discover paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, and collages. The event hosts guest artists of honor, ensuring an openness to diverse and demanding artistic practices.
The 2025 edition of the Autumn Exhibition, the 33rd of its kind, was held on October 21 and 22, 2025, at Auxerrexpo (1 avenue des Plaines de l'Yonne). The guest artists of honor were pastel artist Jacques Patriat and sculptor Marc Bacchiana. About fifty artists exhibited their creations in a bright and accessible space for everyone.
In spring or summer, the association organizes the Quai des Arts, an original event that invites artists to exhibit outdoors along the quays of the Yonne. Visitors stroll freely along the water, discovering paintings, sculptures, and photographs in an open-air setting. A public vote allows visitors to choose their favorite works in the "ARTISTS' SUMMER" category.
Beyond exhibitions, Les 4'Arts offers regular classes and workshops allowing amateurs to improve their artistic practice. The association thus plays a structuring role in the cultural life of Auxerre, training new artists and maintaining a vibrant creative fabric in the capital of the Yonne.
The association Les 4'Arts is preparing its 34th Autumn Exhibition for autumn 2026 at Auxerrexpo. This annual event for artistic creation in the Yonne will once again bring together about fifty painters, sculptors, photographers, and draftsmen in an entirely free event open to all.
The guest artists of honor and the full program will be announced in autumn 2026. The Quai des Arts, an outdoor exhibition along the Yonne river, will also be part of the program during the warmer months.
