Les Déferlantes: the musical event of the Mediterranean summer
Since 2007, Les Déferlantes Sud de France has established itself as one of the most important contemporary music festivals in the South of France. Located in Le Barcarès, a seaside resort in the Pyrénées-Orientales, the festival attracts over 100,000 festival-goers each year to the spectacular Lydia Gardens site, on the Mediterranean coast.
The Lydia Gardens: a unique site
The festival takes place at the Jardins du Lydia, an exceptional event space located in the heart of Le Barcarès, near the famous shipwrecked liner Le Lydia. This unique setting offers festival-goers a singular experience, between the Mediterranean beach, sunsets, and open-air concerts.
An eclectic and popular program
Every year, Les Déferlantes offers a program that emphasizes musical diversity: pop, rock, electro, rap, French variety, reggae, world music, and DJ sets. The festival mixes international headliners and emerging artists, guaranteeing memorable evenings for all audiences.

Over the years, the festival has hosted major artists from the French and international music scene, offering concerts in a festive and friendly atmosphere. Each evening features several artists on the main stage, providing continuous entertainment from early evening until night.

Organized by the company AttrapTemps, Les Déferlantes significantly contributes to the tourism economy of Le Barcarès and the Pyrénées-Orientales coast. Les Déferlantes — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Les Déferlantes Sud de France will take place from Saturday, July 11 to Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Jardins du Lydia, in Barcarès (Pyrénées-Orientales). For this new edition, the festival brings together a leading pop, rap, and electro lineup: Aya Nakamura, Sean Paul, Martin Garrix, Gims, Armin van Buuren, Damso, Matt Pokora, Afrojack, Kungs, PLK, Niska, Petit Biscuit, Magic System, and Theodora.
2026 Edition — July 11 to 13
Les Déferlantes Sud de France return from Saturday, July 11 to Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Jardins du Lydia, in the heart of the seaside resort of Barcarès. Following the signing of a new agreement for the 2026-2028 period between the organization and the City, the festival remains located on this emblematic site on the Mediterranean coast.
Three evenings of concerts mixing pop, rap, electro, and major international headliners, in a festive setting by the sea.

Access and transport
By car: Le Barcarès is accessible via the A9 motorway (exit Perpignan Nord or Leucate), then via the D83. Parking lots are available near the festival site.
By train: The nearest station is Perpignan, served by TGV. Shuttles are organized between Perpignan station and the festival site.
By plane: Perpignan-Rivesaltes Airport is located about 20 km from Le Barcarès.
