Les Frénésies: Riom's Summer Music
Les Frénésies has become the unmissable summer event in Riom. Every July, the Pré Madame esplanade, in the heart of the city, transforms into a place of celebration and music. Organized by the City of Riom, this free concert series offers two musical evenings per week, on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:30 PM.
A Lineup Between Headliners and Discoveries
The Frénésies lineup is structured around two axes:
- Wednesdays: Concerts by headliners of French chanson and variety, featuring artists recognized by the general public
- Fridays: Discoveries and local talents, highlighting the Auvergne music scene and emerging artists
In 2025, the lineup notably welcomed Trois Cafés Gourmands with Malo, Joseph Kamel with Malaska, Stephane with Marion Roch, Jeremy Frerot with NYV on Wednesdays, and Bonneville, Alkabaya, Cumbia Boom Box on Fridays.
A Popular and Family Event
Les Frénésies embodies strong values of friendliness, positivity, effervescence, and enjoyment. The festival aims to be a moment of sharing accessible to all, with no admission fee. In 2024, over 35,000 people attended the concerts, confirming the growing success of this event. The atmosphere is resolutely family-friendly, with activities suitable for all ages.

The 4th edition of Les Frénésies will take place from July 8 to 29, 2026, on the Esplanade du Pré Madame in Riom (Puy-de-Dôme). Throughout July, the City of Riom offers free open-air concerts, two evenings a week (Wednesdays and Fridays), with a program mixing headliners and regional talents. On the menu this year: Boulevard des Airs, Ridsa, Styleto, and Cœur de Pirate.
Les Frénésies 2026 — July 8 to 29
For its 4th edition, Les Frénésies returns from July 8 to 29, 2026, on the Esplanade du Pré Madame in Riom. Organized by the City of Riom, this summer event offers free open-air concerts, accessible to all, two evenings a week (Wednesdays and Fridays) at 8:30 PM.
The event is entirely free and gathers tens of thousands of festival-goers each year in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere. Wednesdays feature headliners, while Fridays highlight regional artists and groups.
Access and Shuttles
On Wednesday concert evenings (July 8, 15, 22, and 29), two free RLV Mobilités shuttles connect park-and-ride facilities to Pré Madame from 7 PM to 12:15 AM, complemented by a free bike-taxi service from 7 PM to midnight.

Access and Transport
By car: Riom is located about 15 km north of Clermont-Ferrand, accessible via the A71 exit Riom or the D2009. Free parking is available near the Esplanade du Pré Madame.
By train: Riom - Châtel-Guyon station is served by TER trains from Clermont-Ferrand (about 10 minutes). The Esplanade du Pré Madame is about a 15-minute walk from the station.
By bus: The T2C network serves Riom with regular lines from Clermont-Ferrand.
