From its first edition in 1996 until 2018, this summer event transformed the peaceful village of Saint-Aulaye into a tropical enclave for an August weekend, welcoming groups of diverse origins playing salsa, reggae, Latin music, afro, and world music. The friendly atmosphere, on-site catering, and free camping made it a popular festive event in Périgord vert.

A world music festival in Périgord vert
From 1996 to 2018, the Swing in Eulalia association organized the Les Musiques Épicées festival in Saint-Aulaye, a commune in Périgord vert in Dordogne. Concerts took place on the terraces of Saint-Aulaye castle, offering a unique heritage setting to host groups from all over the world.
Mixed and festive sounds
The program featured a wide range of mixed music: salsa, reggae, Latin music, afrobeat, cumbia, world music, and many other genres. Over the editions, the festival welcomed artists such as La Yegros (Argentina), Sara Curruchich (Guatemala), Korso Gomes, and Salsos Positivos. The village was adorned with tropical colors, with mojitos and piña coladas replacing local cognac for a weekend.
