World music festival on the terraces of the Château de Saint-Aulaye in Dordogne
Since 1996, the association Swing in Eulalia has been organizing the Les Musiques Épicées festival in Saint-Aulaye, a commune in the Périgord vert region of Dordogne. The concerts take place on the terraces of the Château de Saint-Aulaye, offering a unique heritage setting to host bands from all over the world.
The programming features a wide range of mixed music genres: salsa, reggae, Latin music, afrobeat, cumbia, world music, and many others. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists such as La Yegros (Argentina), Sara Curruchich (Guatemala), Korso Gomes, and Salsos Positivos. The village is adorned with tropical colors, with mojitos and piña coladas replacing the local cognac for a weekend.
The festival offers on-site catering with global flavors and free camping for festival-goers. The friendly and family-friendly atmosphere makes it a popular summer event for world music lovers in Dordogne and beyond.
Les Musiques Épicées will return to the terraces of the Château de Saint-Aulaye in August 2026 for a new weekend of world music. The Swing in Eulalia association is preparing a lineup mixing salsa, reggae, afrobeat, and world music, in the tropical and friendly atmosphere that has made the festival famous since 1996. Dates and lineup to be confirmed.
The festival takes place on the terraces of the Château de Saint-Aulaye, 24410 Saint-Aulaye-Puymangou.
