Ten years of kites over Narbonne-Plage
Natur'Ailes celebrates its 10th edition from Saturday, May 23rd to Monday, May 25th, 2026, over the Pentecost weekend, on the Narbonne-Plage seafront. Three days of flying, from 10 am to 6 pm, completely free, featuring some of the world's best kite teams and a program of activities stretching from the Terrasses de la Mer to the Esplanade Didier-Mouly.
A round of the World Kite Masters Tour
The resort is hosting a round of the World Kite Masters Tour, an international competition where pilots compete in teams. The lineup includes the Flying Squad (four-line world champions), Richard Debray (2024 world champion), the IS'Air pair (world champions), Sébastien Karnier (French two-line champion), Steff Fermé (European four-line champion), Samuel Roger (European two-line champion), and the French team (2024 world team champions). A round of the European freestyle cup, the Tricks Party, completes the sporting side of the event.
A 100-meter trilobite in the sky
To mark the anniversary, organizers are announcing the flight of an extraordinary kite, one of the largest in the world: a trilobite nearly 100 meters long, presented for the first time at Narbonne-Plage. It will join the ballet of giant kites—octopuses, whales, manta rays, and flying sharks—alongside inflatable characters like Spider-Man, Batman, and Captain America.
For families: from sand to the wind garden
On the Esplanade Didier-Mouly, a Toons Park, a musical wind garden, and various creative workshops (face painting, coloring, wooden games) will keep the little ones entertained. A new feature for this edition is the 'bol' race, held daily from 2 pm to 6 pm, where children can experience the thrill of kite traction on the beach. Sculptor Benoît Dutherage will also be creating a monumental sand sculpture throughout the weekend.
Sustainable village, markets, and illuminated evenings
On Saturday, a sustainable development village will offer eco-friendly stands and workshops, while a craft and artisan market sets up on the seafront. On Sunday and Monday, it's time for the local producers' market, organized in partnership with the Aude Chamber of Agriculture. The illuminated evenings will extend the festivities on the lit-up terraces, featuring a concert by Simply Laeti on Saturday night. The competition awards ceremony will close the festival on Monday at 4 pm.

A sky of colors on the Aude coast
Les Natur'Ailes transforms the seafront of Narbonne-Plage into an extraordinary aerial show every year. Since 2017, this international kite festival has brought together pilots from France and Europe to offer the public a free and magical spectacle. The sky is adorned with hundreds of kites of all sizes and colors, from the smallest acrobatic kites to giant kites representing XXL superhero characters. The event takes place on Pentecost weekend, benefiting from the Mediterranean winds that are ideal for this aerial show.
International acrobatic demonstrations
The festival hosts internationally renowned pilots, including members of the French kite team and several individual champions. The collective Start'air and the duo Courant d'Air are among the regulars at the event. Freestyle competitions, with spectacular timed duels, are a highlight of the festival. Pilots compete with creativity and technical mastery, performing synchronized aerial figures and choreographies, much to the delight of the spectators gathered on the beach.
Activities for the whole family
Les Natur'Ailes is not limited to aerial demonstrations. The festival offers a full program of family activities: kite-making workshops for children, giant sand sculptures created by world vice-champion Benoît Dutherage, giant straw sculptures, face painting, and fun activities on the theme of nature and wind. A sustainable development village with local producers and an artisan market complete the setup.
An eco-responsible and free event
Organized by the City of Narbonne and Le Grand Narbonne, Les Natur'Ailes is an entirely free event that attracts several thousand visitors to the Aude coast each year. The festival pays particular attention to environmental awareness, with its sustainable development village and educational activities on nature and ecology. It is an unmissable event of the summer season for families from Narbonne and tourists visiting the Mediterranean coast.
