lille3000 — edition 2026

In 2026, lille3000 will not offer a new major thematic season (the next one is expected around 2028, following the association's triennial rhythm), but will take over the Gare Saint Sauveur with « Gare Méditerranée », from May 15 to September 27, 2026. This season is part of the Institut français's Saison Méditerranée 2026 and presents the exhibition « Traversées », with free admission, focusing on identity, memory, territory, and migration in the Mediterranean.

lille3000 in 2026: the « Gare Méditerranée » season

After the major Fiesta season (April–November 2025), lille3000 is taking a break between two major thematic editions — the next one is expected around 2028, in line with the association's triennial rhythm. However, 2026 is not a blank year: lille3000 is transforming the Gare Saint Sauveur into « Gare Méditerranée » from May 15 to September 27, 2026, as part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026 led by the Institut français.

The « Traversées » exhibition

Installed in Hall B of the Gare Saint Sauveur, the collective exhibition « Traversées », curated by Olfa Feki, brings together duos of Moroccan, Tunisian, and Algerian artists associated with French artists from these diasporas. Through monumental installations, it explores the themes of identity, memory, territory, and migration in the Mediterranean. Admission is free.

A festive opening weekend

The season opens with a grand inaugural weekend from May 27 to 31, 2026: concerts, shows, giant writing workshops, DJ sets, dance, installations, and gastronomic offerings. The public opening takes place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 6:30 PM. The Gare Saint Sauveur also opened its doors at night on May 23 for the European Night of Museums.

A season that extends into autumn

In addition, the Tripostal hosts the exhibition « Éclats du rire ! » (humor, irony, and fantasy in the Frac collections) from October 9, 2026, to January 10, 2027. Throughout the season, local cultural operators (Wazemmes l'Accordéon, Lille Piano(s) Festival, etc.) will enrich the program.

For two decades, the association has pursued an ambitious mission: to make the Lille metropolis a permanent laboratory for contemporary creation and popular celebration.

  • Fantastic (2012): the fantastic and the imaginary
  • Renaissance (2015): renewal and transformation

Fiesta 2025: Celebration in All Its Forms

With over 30 exhibitions, shows, parades, and hundreds of events, Fiesta unites major museums, the opera, orchestras, conservatories, theaters, dance centers, and artistic collectives.

The Grand Opening Parade

Each edition begins with a grand festive parade that crosses the streets of Lille, bringing together tens of thousands of spectators. The Fiesta parade set off on April 26, 2025, from Lille Flandres station towards the esplanade du Champ de Mars.

Major Cultural and Economic Impact

lille3000 contributes to Lille's international influence and generates significant economic and tourist returns. The association is supported by the City of Lille, the European Metropolis of Lille, the Hauts-de-France Region, and numerous private partners.
