About Livre en Fête

Livre en Fête is the generalist book fair of Grand Périgueux, organized every year in June in Champcevinel by the association Lire en Fête de Champcevinel. For two days, about sixty authors meet the public for signings, literary cafés, debates, and musical entertainment. The fair awards the La Boétie and Augiéras literary prizes and offers a young audience space with children's authors.

The great literary fair of Périgord

Founded in 2010 by the association Lire en Fête de Champcevinel, the Livre en Fête fair has become in a few years the unmissable literary event of Grand Périgueux. Every June, it hosts about sixty authors from all backgrounds — novelists, essayists, children's authors, historians — for a weekend of meetings and exchanges with the public.

Literary prizes and meetings

The fair awards the La Boétie and Augiéras literary prizes each year, recognizing works related to Périgord or literary creation. The program includes literary cafés, thematic debates, literary breakfasts open to the public, and musical entertainment.

A space dedicated to young readers

The fair places great importance on the young audience with a dedicated space hosting a dozen children's authors. Reading workshops, meetings, and specific activities are offered to children and their families.

Livre en Fête — edition 2026

The 17th edition of Livre en Fête takes place on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14, 2026 in Champcevinel. The Grand Périgueux book fair brings together 62 authors for meetings, signings, literary cafés, and the presentation of the La Boétie and Augiéras awards.

17th Edition — Livre en Fête 2026

The Livre en Fête fair returns for its 17th edition on June 13 and 14, 2026, at the Champcevinel village hall. The 2026 edition welcomes 62 authors from all backgrounds — novelists, essayists, youth authors, historians — for a weekend of public encounters.

The 2026 Literary Awards

The fair awards its two annual prizes:

  • Prix La Boétie — rewarding a work related to Périgord or regional literary creation.
  • Prix Augiéras 2026 — among the selected works are Ma gloire by Florent Oiseau and Les rues parallèles by Gérald Tenenbaum.
