The Christmas Village in the heart of Périgueux
Each year, from late November to early January, the Périgueux Christmas Village is set up at the foot of the majestic Saint-Front Cathedral, transforming the historic center into a magical setting. With its 31 wooden chalets, sparkling illuminations, and warm atmosphere, the market has become an unmissable event for the holiday season in Dordogne.
Crafts and delicacies from Périgord
The chalets host artisans and local producers offering original gift ideas, Christmas decorations, gourmet specialties from Périgord, and hot drinks. Mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, foie gras, artisanal chocolate: the flavors of Christmas are all there.
Activities and ice rink
The Christmas Village offers numerous activities for all ages: an outdoor ice rink, carriage rides, creative workshops, street performances, and meetings with Santa Claus. The illuminations of the Saint-Front Cathedral and the streets of the city center create a magical atmosphere.

The Périgueux Christmas Village will return in December 2026 for a new edition at the foot of the Saint-Front Cathedral. The exact dates and program will be announced in autumn 2026 on the City of Périgueux website.

Opening Hours
Open daily from approximately 10 am to 7 pm. Early closing at 6 pm on December 24th and 31st. Closed on December 25th and January 1st.
Prices
Free admission. Ice rink is subject to a fee.
