Truffle Market – 2026-2027 Season
The Périgueux Truffle Market will return for the 2026-2027 season, from December 2026 to February 2027, on Place Saint-Louis. Exact dates and the Truffle Festival program will be announced in autumn 2026.
Programme Truffle Market 2026
The 2026-2027 season for the Périgueux truffle market (held Saturday mornings at the Maison du Pâtissier, place Saint-Louis) and the date for the Fête de la Truffe have not yet been announced by the Grand Périgueux Tourist Office. For the 2025-2026 season, the market took place every Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, running from December 6, 2025, to mid-February 2026, with the Fête de la Truffe held on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Since the announcement for that season was released in mid-November 2025, it is likely that the details for 2026-2027 will be published around the same time.

Black Périgord Truffle on Place Saint-Louis
Every winter, the Place Saint-Louis in Périgueux transforms into a temple of the black Périgord truffle (Tuber melanosporum). The Truffle Market brings together truffle growers from Dordogne and Périgord who offer their finest specimens of this black diamond of French gastronomy.
A Weekly Market All Winter Long
The market is held every Saturday morning from December to mid-February, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Maison du Pâtissier on Place Saint-Louis. Special markets are organized on the Tuesdays before Christmas and New Year's Day. Professionals and individuals can buy truffles directly from producers, with quality control ensured by experts.
