The Foire des Rois is the highlight of the Foires Grasses of Brive. Organized every year in early January, it perpetuates an ancestral tradition by celebrating the products of the Corrèze region and the Southwest.
One of the highlights of the Foire des Rois is the free canning of foie gras offered by the City of Brive. This free service, offered for many years, attracts hundreds of gourmets who leave with their foie gras canned according to the rules of the art.
The Foire des Rois also features a truffle tasting competition and a ceps tasting organized by the local gastronomic brotherhood. The controlled market for fresh truffles, which takes place every Saturday morning from December to February, is also highlighted during this day.
