Magic Garden Festival: Music and Flavors by Lake Annecy
The Magic Garden Festival is an open-air festival that takes place every summer in the exceptional setting of the hamlet of Angon, on the eastern shore of Lake Annecy, in the commune of Talloires-Montmin. Free and open to all, it brings together live music, DJ sets, a producers' market, and family activities for a full day.
An Exceptional Natural Setting
The festival unfolds by Lake Annecy, in a preserved natural environment between mountains and turquoise waters. The hamlet of Angon, nestled between the Roc de Chère nature reserve and the limestone cliffs of the eastern shore, offers an enchanting backdrop that makes this event unique. Festival-goers can enjoy direct access to the lake for water activities: paddleboarding, canoeing/kayaking, and swimming punctuate the day between concerts.
Eight Hours of Eclectic Music
From afternoon until evening, the Magic Garden's musical program alternates between DJ sets and live performances. Styles cross over: house, electro live, world music, afrobeat, and modern choir. Among the artists who have graced the festival's stage are local and regional DJs, as well as original projects like Le Cri Sélectif (modern choir), MYO (electro live), and Doctor Flake (world/afrobeat).
Producers' and Creators' Market
The festival hosts a market of local producers and creators that showcases the region's know-how: artisanal jewelry, textiles, wines, craft beers, coffee from local roasters, and other specialties. This market is a cornerstone of the event, grounding the Magic Garden in an initiative to promote short supply chains and Savoyard craftsmanship.
Family Entertainment and Water Activities
Families are not left out: a bouncy castle, an artisanal carousel, and nature workshops led by local associations like Ocapnature keep the youngest entertained. Water sports enthusiasts can rent paddleboards and kayaks directly on-site, enjoying the crystal-clear waters of Lake Annecy.
A Committed and Accessible Festival
Admission to the Magic Garden Festival is completely free. The festival operates on a cashless system to facilitate transactions and reduce paper usage. Carpooling is encouraged, and the site is accessible by SIBRA bus line 20 (Angon stop). Camping is available nearby for festival-goers wishing to extend their stay.
