Medieval animations in the smallest fortified village in France
Larressingle, the smallest fortified village in France, hosts medieval animations every summer that transport visitors to the 13th century. The medieval siege camp, set up at the foot of the ramparts, brings medieval warfare techniques and crafts back to life.
The siege camp recreates a medieval encampment with its war machines (trebuchets, battering rams), knightly tents, and artisan workshops. Spectacular demonstrations of archery and siege warfare are offered to the public.
Every Sunday during the summer, festive evenings are organized at the siege camp with music, shows, and a medieval atmosphere. Themed night markets add a touch of conviviality.
The 2026 edition will be held in Larressingle.
The Medieval Siege Camp is located below the fortified village of Larressingle (32100), about fifteen kilometers from Condom, in the Gers (Armagnac).
The siege camp is open daily from March 21 to November 8, 2026. In July and August, it is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm. Festive evenings (show and night market) are offered on certain summer Sundays.
