About Summer Photography
Summer Photography — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of L'Été Photographique de Lectoure takes place from July 11 to September 20, 2026, within the heritage sites of Lectoure (Gers). Curated by Lilian Froger, this edition brings together eight artists around the theme of "the infra-ordinary": the mundane, the everyday, the obvious, what we look at without ever truly seeing it.
L'Été Photographique 2026 — "at the edge of reality"
From July 11 to September 20, 2026, the Centre d'art et de photographie de Lectoure takes over the city and its heritage for the new edition of L'Été Photographique. Curator Lilian Froger places this edition under the sign of the infra-ordinary, a concept borrowed from Georges Perec: "what happens every day and returns every day, the mundane, the everyday, the obvious, the common, the ordinary." The collected works question what surrounds us but remains imperceptible — tiny details, invisible traces of pollution, familiar landscapes that photography re-examines.
Eight Artists Exhibited
The edition brings together Aline Bovard Rudaz, Jonàs Forchini, Coline Jourdan, Lucas Leglise, Yamamoto Masao, Brune Pâris, Léonie Pondevie and Charles Thiefaine.

L'Été Photographique: Art and Heritage in Lectoure
Since 1990, L'Été Photographique de Lectoure has been a must-attend event for contemporary photography in France. Organized by the Lectoure Center for Art and Photography, the festival presents a dozen exhibitions every summer in the heritage sites of this Gascon city.
A Dialogue Between Art and Heritage
The festival takes over public and private spaces in Lectoure: private mansions, chapels, gardens, vaulted cellars. This dialogue between contemporary works and historical architecture creates a unique experience for the visitor, who discovers the city while exploring current photographic practices.
International Artists
Each edition invites French and international artists to exhibit their work. The festival showcases the diversity of contemporary photography: reportage, portrait, landscape, installation, video, digital art. Artist residencies allow for the creation of specific works for the venues.
Events and Meetings
Conferences, guided tours, screenings, and meetings with artists complement the exhibition program. The festival also offers photography workshops for all audiences.
