About Les Gasconnades
Les Gasconnades is a festival celebrating Gascon traditions in Lectoure, in the Gers department. Over three days, the organizing association brings together musicians, singers, and dancers to honor the language and music of Gascony, featuring street parades at the market, dance and singing workshops, demonstrations of the boha, fife, and hurdy-gurdy, as well as Gascon meals and evening dances.

The 12th edition of Les Gasconnades takes place from Friday, September 25th to Sunday, September 27th, 2026, in Lectoure. Enjoy three days of Gascon music, singing, and dance around the Halle aux grains, featuring two major dances, workshops led by the group Tastet, and the Elimberri performance.
Les Gasconnades 2026: September 25th–27th in Lectoure
The Les Gasconnades association is hosting its 12th edition from Friday, September 25th to Sunday, September 27th, 2026, in Lectoure, Gers. The event moves from its usual August slot to the final weekend of September.
The Halle aux grains and its forecourt will host most of the festivities: a village aperitif and dance on Friday evening, instrumental performances, an open stage, dinner, and a grand dance on Saturday, followed by a musical aperitif, buffet, and closing dance on Sunday. The Friday morning street parade will take place on Rue Nationale during the weekly market. The conference will be held at the media library, the Elimberri show at the Salle de la comédie, and the dance and singing workshops at the dance studio and the Town Hall room.

Venues
Most of the festival takes place at the Halle aux Grains in Lectoure and its forecourt. Other events are spread across rue Nationale, the media library, the Salle de la Comédie, the Town Hall, and the dance studio.
Prices
Street parades, the lecture, instrumental demonstrations, and the open stage are free. Friday dance: 5 €, grand Saturday dance: 10 €, Elimberri show: 5 €, dance and singing workshops: 40 €, Saturday meal: 20 € (10 € for children under 12), Sunday buffet: 10 €.

Les Gasconnades: Three Days of Gascon Culture in Lectoure
This festival is the annual highlight for the Lectoure-based association Les Gasconnades, which aims to "revitalize Gascon Occitan culture and promote it in all its forms." The 12th edition will take place from September 25th to 27th, 2026; previous editions were held in August.
Gascon Music, Song, and Dance
The program includes a street parade at the weekly market, traditional dance and singing workshops, instrumental demonstrations featuring the boha (the bagpipes of the Landes de Gascogne), the fife, and the hurdy-gurdy, an open stage for visiting musicians, and two major evening dances.
An Association Active Year-Round
Beyond the festival, the association runs a school for the Landes de Gascogne bagpipes, open every Monday during school terms from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at École Blade, 1 rue Dupouy. They also host a Gascon language workshop on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Salle de l'Harmonie on rue Jean Moulin, and manage the group Regain, which performs at traditional dances and musical aperitifs throughout the Gers region.
What's Free and What's Paid
Street performances, the lecture, instrumental demonstrations, and the open stage are free to attend. The dances, the Saturday evening show, the dance and singing workshops, and the meals require a fee.
