The national oenotourism event: gourmet walk, wines, and music in the Gaillac vineyards
Every third weekend of October, the Gaillac vineyards become the setting for a unique event: Vignobles en Scène !, the national oenotourism gathering. Supported by the Vignobles & Découvertes network—a national label certifying wine tourism destinations offering an excellent tourist experience—this event brings together regional stakeholders in Occitanie around a common vision: celebrating wine, gastronomy, and local cultures in the very landscapes that shaped them.
Vignobles en Scène ! is an event organized simultaneously in all French wine regions with the Vignobles & Découvertes label. However, in Gaillac, it takes on a special dimension thanks to the richness of one of France's oldest vineyards—with the first traces of viticulture dating back to antiquity—and the diversity of its indigenous grape varieties: Mauzac, Loin de l'Œil, Len de l'El, Duras, Braucol, Prunelart.
The Gaillac edition is organized around three experience hubs defined by the national label:
The beating heart of Vignobles en Scène ! in Gaillac is undoubtedly La Ronde des Vignerons, the 7-kilometer Oenorando® gourmet walk that winds through the vineyards and estates of the appellation. Accessible on the Sunday of the event, this walking route combines hiking, gastronomy, wine, and music into a memorable and convivial experience.
La Ronde des Vignerons is structured around four festive stops at labeled wine estates, each offering a specific food and wine pairing with musical entertainment:
The route concludes at the Cave Coopérative de Saint-Michel in Gaillac, which serves as the starting and ending point (departure at 11 am). At each stop, musicians entertain to extend the pleasure of food and encounters.
Beyond La Ronde des Vignerons, the entire Vignobles en Scène ! weekend offers a rich program spread across the appellation's estates: themed tastings, convivial evenings in the cellars, autumn-colored bike rides through the vineyards, sensory workshops to decipher the aromas and flavors of Gaillac, acoustic concerts, and gastronomic events with local chefs.
In just a few years, Vignobles en Scène ! has become one of the flagship autumn events in Occitan Tuscany, the tourist region encompassing Gaillac and its vineyards. It attracts visitors annually from all over Occitanie and neighboring regions, contributing to the development of high-quality wine tourism that respects the terroir and local expertise.
Vignobles en Scène ! returns to the Gaillac vineyards for its 2026 edition, from October 16 to 18. For three days, stakeholders of the Vignobles & Découvertes Gaillac label will once again offer a rich program combining gastronomy, wine, culture, and hiking in the landscapes of Occitan Tuscany.
The full program will be announced in the fall of 2026 on the websites of Occitan Tuscany and Vins de Gaillac. La Ronde des Vignerons, the 7 km gourmet walk through the vineyards, is already something to anticipate with advance booking as soon as registration opens.
Vignobles en Scène ! takes place every year on the third weekend of October (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday).
