Escales d'Automne: Culture at the Heart of Hautes-Pyrénées

Each autumn, the Department of Hautes-Pyrénées offers the Escales d'Automne, a traveling cultural season that irrigates the entire Bigorre territory. From towns to villages, this multidisciplinary festival offers a rich and demanding program accessible to all audiences.

A Multidisciplinary Program

The Escales d'Automne cover a wide artistic spectrum: music, singing, theater, dance, circus, storytelling, puppetry, readings, exhibitions, and one-man shows. This diversity allows us to reach a varied audience and introduce artistic forms that are sometimes unknown to the general public.

Exceptional Heritage Sites

The performances take place in remarkable sites in the department: the Saint-Orens de Larreule Abbey Church, the Abbey of l'Escaladieu, the municipal halls, and the cultural spaces of the participating towns. This alliance between heritage and live performance gives the Escales d'Automne a special charm.

Exemplary Territorial Network

In partnership with numerous municipalities, the Department of Hautes-Pyrénées ensures cultural coverage throughout the territory. The Escales d'Automne allow residents of rural areas to access quality performances without having to travel to large cities.
