About Assat en Scène
Since 2020, the Assat en Scène festival has been bringing theatre, music, dance, storytelling, and circus arts to the château district of Assat, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region. Every year in mid-September, a dedicated team of volunteers organises around fifteen performances spread across the village's gardens, courtyards, barns, and public spaces.
Assat en Scène — edition 2026
The 6th edition of Assat en Scène takes place from September 25th to 27th, 2026, centered around the theme of the four elements. The program features nine performances and three discovery workshops, including five concerts spanning theater, dance, circus, music, and storytelling, all set within the gardens and courtyards of the château district.

Saturday, September 26th, 2026
- 11:00 AM — Dance performance by Cie Les gens qui dansent
- 1:30 PM — Swing fantasy concert
- 2:00 PM — Silkscreen printing workshop with Atelier Ekko, open to all
- 3:30 PM — Theater: "Enquêtes costumées" by Cie Sûr Saut (45 min)
- 3:30 PM — "Raconte-moi... un son" workshop with the Pays de Nay music school, ages 5 and up (45 min)
- 5:30 PM — Musical storytelling "Takikaxa", poetry of the elements, by Cie Les aventures lutiliennes, ages 3 and up
- 7:00 PM — Participatory show "J'aurai un jardin de bohème" by Sylvain Notey (1h)
- 9:00 PM — Concert by Kalune, French chanson, folk, and reggae
- 11:00 PM — Concert by L'Envoûtante

The festival kicks off on Friday and continues on Sunday with additional shows and workshops in the same spirit; the detailed schedules for these two days had not yet been released by the organizers at the time of writing.
