The 2026-2027 cultural season in Mourenx kicks off from September 18 to October 6, 2026, with the 22nd edition of the Les Théâtrales festival: featuring open-air Shakespeare performed by local amateurs, Feydeau by the Grenier de Toulouse, as well as Leïla Martial and Jacques Weber. The season continues with the video game festival at the MI[X] and three concerts at the Salle Daniel Balavoine, running through May 2027.

2026-2027 Cultural Season

Every year, the Les Théâtrales theater festival launches the cultural season in Mourenx. Its 22nd edition runs from September 18 to October 6, 2026, under the artistic direction of Violette Campo. It is organized by the association Parole en liberté and the Théâtre les pieds dans l'eau company, with the support of the municipality, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Department, and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region.

The opening night features around thirty local amateur actors performing A Midsummer Night's Dream for free at the MI[X] open-air theater. This is followed by a Feydeau vaudeville reduced to two actors, a vocal solo by Leïla Martial, a one-man show by Jacques Weber, and Seuil, a play about bullying performed for local middle school students and the general public. Online ticket sales have been open since August 10, 2026, on the Festik platform.

The MI[X] will then host the 11th edition of the video game festival from October 14 to 31, 2026. At the Salle Daniel Balavoine, the Blackrainbow association and the city's cultural department have announced three initial concert dates: Sanseverino & Lise Cabaret on October 17, a cine-concert featuring Frankenstein on November 7, and L'Envoûtante with Nous Étions Une Armée on December 5. The season runs until May 2027; the remainder of the program has yet to be announced.
