Orthez Magic Festival: The Art of the Impossible in the Heart of Béarn
Every autumn, the Théâtre Francis Planté in Orthez hosts the Magic Festival, an event that brings together the best illusionists from the French and international scene. Under the evocative title of "Les Étoiles Magiques" (The Magic Stars), this festival offers exceptionally high-quality shows blending grand illusions, mentalism, comedy magic, and close-up magic.

The festival features internationally renowned magicians, including world magic champions, artists who have shone on the stages of the greatest Parisian cabarets, and magicians who have appeared on reference TV shows like "Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde." Each edition presents a renewed lineup, guaranteeing two hours of dazzling performance.

The Théâtre Francis Planté, an Italian-style theatre in Orthez, provides an ideal setting for magic shows. Accessible from the age of 3, the Orthez Magic Festival is designed to enchant all generations. The shows, lasting two hours, are offered in afternoon and evening performances, allowing everyone to find the ideal slot. The magical universe of illusion transcends ages and offers a unique moment of sharing between parents and children.
Magic Festival — edition 2026
The 5th edition of the Orthez Magic Festival will be held on October 17 and 18, 2026, at the Théâtre Francis Planté. Six artists — world champions, cabaret magicians, and talents discovered on television — will take turns performing a two-hour family show combining grand illusions, burlesque magic, comedic magic, and aerial acts.
5th Edition — Orthez Magic Festival 2026
For its 5th edition, the Orthez Magic Festival once again takes over the Théâtre Francis Planté on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026. Conceived by Orthez magician Fabrice Limouzin and supported by the Cœur de Béarn Tourist Office, the festival brings together a lineup of established artists and young talents for a grand two-hour show accessible to the whole family (from 3 years old).
