The Voca Folies Festival is a musical event organized every year in September in Aire-sur-l'Adour by the vocal ensemble Aire Singing. For three days, this festival celebrates the voice in all its forms through concerts, street performances, musical meals, and dances. From Voca'Rues animating the town center to festive evenings and musical aperitifs, the festival makes the city of Aire vibrate to the rhythm of choirs, bandas, and orchestras in a friendly and popular atmosphere open to all.

The Festival Voca Folies is the unmissable musical event of the back-to-school season in Aire-sur-l'Adour, in the Landes region. Organized by the vocal ensemble Aire Singing, this three-day festival celebrates the voice in all its forms, combining concerts, street performances, musical meals, and dances in a warm and festive atmosphere.

A Program with Several Highlights

The festival unfolds in several key moments that punctuate the weekend. The Voca'Rues take over the town center of Aire-sur-l'Adour on Saturday morning with vocal groups performing in the market and town cafes, offering surprising and joyful performances to passersby. The Voca'Tiap offers a free moment of musical conviviality at the Halle aux Grains, with barbecues and snacks accompanied by the Chœur d'Hommes de Gascogne (Gascon Men's Choir).

Memorable Evenings

On Friday evening, the opening concert by Aire Singing kicks off the festivities with a colorful vocal performance. On Saturday, the Voca'Pero opens the aperitif with music before the grand Voca'Nuit evening, the festival's highlight, bringing together choirs, orchestras, and artists in a festive atmosphere. On Sunday, the Vocasal concludes the festival with a popular musette dance that delights dancers and music lovers.

Festival Location

The Voca Folies Festival takes place in several emblematic locations in Aire-sur-l'Adour: the Halle aux Grains for musical meals, the town center and its market for Voca'Rues, and the party hall (salle des fêtes) for concerts and dances. The different venues are within walking distance of each other, allowing festival-goers to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere in the streets of Aire.

Access

By Car

Aire-sur-l'Adour is located 30 minutes from Mont-de-Marsan via the D932 and 30 minutes from Pau via the D934. The town is also accessible from Bordeaux in about 1 hour and 40 minutes via the A65 motorway. Free parking is available in the town center, particularly on Place du Commerce and near the Halle aux Grains.

By Train

The Aire-sur-l'Adour SNCF train station is served by the Mont-de-Marsan - Pau line. The town center is a few minutes' walk from the station. Regional TER connections allow access to the station from major cities in the region.

Catering

A catering area is available during each key event of the festival. The Saturday midday Voca'Tiap offers barbecues and snacks at the Halle aux Grains, in a friendly atmosphere enlivened by a men's choir. On Friday evening, a sandwich stand is open from 7 PM before the concert. On Saturday evening, a full meal is offered as an option during the Voca'Nuit for €15.

Accessibility
