About Festival BD Sainte-Livrade
The Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot Comics Festival is a free event dedicated to graphic novels, organized every September by the municipal library. Established in 2015, it brings together around twenty authors for book signings over the course of a weekend, featuring exhibitions, live drawing concerts, screen printing workshops, and—depending on the year—masterclasses, creative workshops, or theater performances. Since the 2026 edition, it has been held at the Médiathèque La Ribambulle, located at 4 rue Eulalie Bonnal, following several years at the salle polyvalente Charles de Cacqueray. Over its first nine editions, the festival has hosted 162 authors and welcomed over 9,000 visitors, while more than 3,350 students from Sainte-Livrade and surrounding towns have had the chance to host an author in their classroom.

The festival is hosting an exhibition of her original plates from "Jours de sable", on display all weekend. On Thursday, September 10, at 8:30 PM at L'Utopie Cinema, she will discuss her discovery of William Golding's work and her adaptation process, followed by a screening of Peter Brook's 1963 film "Lord of the Flies". Her graphic novel won the 2026 Eisner Award for Best Adaptation this past July. She will be signing books throughout the weekend.
Two live drawing concerts
On Saturday the 12th at 6:30 PM at L'Utopie Cinema, "Billy & Company" blends David Périmony's vintage aesthetic with the New Orleans jazz of the Let it roll jazz band. On Sunday the 13th at 2:30 PM at La Ribambulle, "Between Land and Sea" brings together the artistic strokes of Caroline Péron and the kora music of Lucas Rizzotti. Both events are free, but require reservation.
