A book fair in the heart of Lot-et-Garonne
Lafitte Bouquine is the book fair of Lafitte-sur-Lot, created in 2023 by the association Les 4 Saisons, which runs the municipal library Maryse Villiamy. Driven by its president Tina Denis and a team of passionate volunteers, this literary event has quickly become a must-attend for book lovers in Lot-et-Garonne.
Literary encounters for all tastes
Each edition of Lafitte Bouquine brings together about twenty authors from the region, offering visitors the chance to discover a wide variety of literary genres:
- Novels and general literature
- Thrillers and suspense novels
- Children's literature and manga
- Historical works and local stories
- Cookbooks and practical guides
- Fantasy and science fiction
Visitors can interact directly with the writers, get their books signed, and discover new talents from the Aquitaine literary scene.
A guest of honor at each edition
During the first edition in 2023, the writer-historian Alain Paraillous, an emblematic figure of Lot-et-Garonne literature, was the guest of honor. He praised this rural initiative, reminding us that "reading brings a little life to your art and a little art to your life.".

Growing success

The mayor Benjamin Fages praised the "superb success" of the first edition, confirming the enthusiasm of residents and visitors for this annual literary event. The fair, which hosted 23 authors in its second edition in 2024, is establishing itself as a major cultural event for the town.
