About Mediterranean Women's Film Festival
Since 2006, the Films Femmes Méditerranée association has been showcasing cinema by female directors from both shores of the Mediterranean in Marseille, featuring fiction, documentaries, and short and feature-length films. Each edition highlights a specific country and complements the screenings with filmmaker Q&As, a masterclass, and a round table discussion. Since 2018, a professional day has brought together selected Mediterranean female directors and producers in Marseille to help facilitate the development of their film projects.
Mediterranean Women's Film Festival — edition 2026
The 21st edition takes place in Marseille from November 5th to 13th, 2026, across several venues in the city. Following a focus on Greek cinema in 2025, this year spotlights Lebanese cinema: screenings of recent films and heritage works, meetings with female directors, and a roundtable discussion on young female Lebanese creators. The full program will be unveiled on October 22nd at the Bibliothèque de l'Alcazar.

Thursday, October 22nd
- 6:00 PM — Presentation of the 2026 program · Bibliothèque de l'Alcazar, 58 cours Belsunce, Marseille
November 5th to 13th
- November 5th and 6th — Professional days: meetings between eight selected Mediterranean female directors and producers from the Euro-Mediterranean region
- Screenings at various Marseille venues: L'Artplexe, La Baleine, Les Variétés, l'Alhambra, le Gyptis, the Musée d'Histoire de Marseille, the Studio Image et Mouvement, the cinema Le Miroir - La Vieille Charité, and the Château de La Buzine
