About Temps de Cirques

Every autumn, the Temps de Cirques festival brings together contemporary circus companies across four departments in Occitanie: Gard, Lozère, Hérault, and Aude. Organized by La Verrerie d'Alès, the National Circus Center of Occitanie, the festival tours performances in big tops, theaters, and outdoor venues, reaching everything from small rural villages to the region's major cities.

Temps de Cirques — edition 2026

The 2026 edition runs from November 5th to December 7th across the Gard, Lozère, Hérault, and Aude departments. The Gard leg kicks off the festivities from November 5th to 15th, including a stop in Rousson where the Patuá company will present "Rupestre," alongside Compagnie Tanmis and La Superette.

Programme Temps de Cirques 2026

The festival features contemporary circus performances in dozens of towns from the Gard to the Aude. In Rousson (Gard), the Auditorium de l'Espace Jean-Jaurès will host three shows:

Rousson — Auditorium de Rousson, Espace Jean-Jaurès

  • Friday, November 6, 2026 — "Nous on n'a rien vu venir…" · La Superette
  • Thursday, November 12, 2026 — "UN INSTANT" · Compagnie Tanmis
  • Friday, November 13, 2026, 6:00 PM — "Rupestre" · Cie Patuá

The full schedule for the other locations (Lozère, Hérault, Aude) is published by La Verrerie d'Alès, the festival organizers.

A traveling festival across four departments

The festival moves from one location to the next as autumn progresses: the tour kicks off in Gard, followed by Lozère, Hérault, and finally Aude, running until early December. Each stop features its own unique program of shows held in theaters, big tops, or historic heritage sites.

Organization

The festival is produced by La Verrerie d'Alès, the National Circus Center of Occitanie, in partnership with local venues, theaters, and municipalities hosting the performances. Tickets are centralized on the Mapado platform, with festival passes and family passes available for multiple shows, though individual tickets can also be purchased for any performance.
