A 9th edition on Saturday, June 13, 2026
After a year-long hiatus in 2025, the Collectif Jeune of the Foyer rural de Melleran is bringing the village square back to life on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Melleran Part en Live returns to its classic format: a full day and night of entertainment and music at the Place de l'Église, in this village of fewer than 500 residents in the southern Deux-Sèvres, bordering the Charente region.
Site opens at 2:00 PM
Doors open at 2:00 PM, with the afternoon kicking off immediately with a musical atmosphere. The traditional palets tournament gets the action started, while the craft market sets up its stalls around the square. Street theater performances will pop up unexpectedly, and a family-friendly show open to all rounds out the daytime program.
Five evening concerts
As night falls, the stage set up on the Place de l'Église will host five concerts running until the early hours. Staying true to its eclectic and dance-oriented spirit—featuring rock, ska, electro, and world music—the organizing collective will reveal the detailed lineup on the festival's social media channels in the coming weeks.
Voluntary contribution
Melleran Part en Live maintains its commitment to total accessibility: entry is based on a voluntary contribution, with no tickets or fixed prices. Parking and on-site camping are also free, allowing you to stay over after the final acts. Food and drinks will be available on-site throughout the day and evening.
An eco-friendly rural festival
The 2026 edition continues the organizers' strong commitment to eco-responsibility. Beyond the musical lineup, the event keeps its primary mission: to turn the village square into a vibrant gathering place for Melleran locals and visitors from Niort, Poitiers, or Angoulême.

Melleran Part en Live: The Free Celebration in the Heart of the Village
In the south of Deux-Sèvres, on the border of the Charente department, the small village of Melleran — with less than 500 inhabitants — comes alive every June thanks to a music festival that is as generous as it is improbable. Melleran Part en Live, supported by the Collectif Jeune du Foyer rural, has made the radical and deliberate choice of total gratuity, convinced that culture must remain accessible to everyone, including in rural areas.
The Village Square as the Main Stage
The concept is as simple as it is powerful: to take over the village square of Melleran and transform it, for a day and a night, into a place for celebration and meeting. From 2 PM, activities begin with games of 'palet' and pétanque, an artisan market, and DJ sets to warm up the atmosphere. From 6 PM until 3 AM, concerts follow one another on the stage set up in the square, in an intimate and friendly format that makes the event so unique.
An Eclectic and Festive Program
The Melleran Part en Live program reflects the open and curious spirit of its organizers. From African music to ska-punk, from rock to electro swing, from techno to world music, the festival mixes genres with a preference for festive and danceable sounds. Each edition is an opportunity to discover emerging bands and unusual formations, far from commercial circuits.
Free Camping and Affordable Food
True to its philosophy of accessibility, the festival offers free camping in the immediate vicinity of the site, as well as food and drinks at very affordable prices. The goal is to allow everyone to fully enjoy the celebration, without financial barriers.
A Precious Social Link in Rural Areas
Beyond the music, Melleran Part en Live fulfills an essential social mission: to create connections between the villagers and visitors, between young and old, between locals and those from elsewhere. By symbolically investing the village square, the festival reaffirms the role of this space as a place for gathering and sharing, perpetuating a tradition of rural conviviality.
Easily accessible from Niort (50 km), Poitiers (70 km), and Angoulême (50 km), Melleran Part en Live attracts a loyal audience that appreciates this bubble of music and good cheer in the heart of the Deux-Sèvres countryside.
