Strasbourg's intimate and eco-responsible electronic festival
Founded in 2016 by the collective Merci Beaucoup, this Strasbourg-based festival has forged a unique identity in the electronic music scene: that of an intimate, immersive, and committed event, in contrast to large mass festivals. At the crossroads of an enchanted guinguette and an alternative club, Merci Beaucoup Festival focuses on the quality of the experience rather than quantity.
The festival is held at Les Ateliers Éclairés, a cultural third-place located in the burgeoning Strasbourg Deux-Rives district, at 4 rue de la Coopérative. These former converted industrial spaces offer an atypical and warm setting, ideal for setting up two complementary stages: an outdoor stage to enjoy the May sun and an indoor stage to extend the party all night long.
The Merci Beaucoup Festival lineup explores the broad spectrum of electronic music with a strong taste for warm and danceable sounds: house, techno, italo-disco, new beat, trance, progressive, EBM, and experimental genres. The programming mixes renowned international artists and local residents, with particular attention paid to gender balance in artist selection.
Merci Beaucoup Festival stands out for its strong commitments: eco-responsibility in waste management and service provider selection, gender balance in programming, free family time slots on Sunday afternoons, and an accessible pricing policy with progressively priced tickets. The festival also offers wood games, retro gaming, house dance demonstrations, a treasure hunt, and a selection of local beers and vegetarian food options.
This committed positioning, combined with careful scenography and interactive performances, makes Merci Beaucoup Festival a model for the new generation of electronic festivals: festive, responsible, and open to all.
The Merci Beaucoup Festival returns for its 4th edition on May 23rd and 24th, 2026 at Les Ateliers Éclairés, a new venue in the Deux-Rives district. Two days of house, techno, italo-disco, and electronic genres on two stages – outdoor and indoor – with the collective's usual philosophy: gender balance, eco-responsibility, and accessibility.
Ticket sales are open on HelloAsso with progressive pricing (Blind, Early, Regular, Late). Sunday from 12 PM to 3 PM remains free access.
