Rock Your Brain Fest: The Rock and Metal Spirit in Sélestat
Created in 2013 by the association Zone51, Rock Your Brain Fest has become over a decade an unmissable event for lovers of heavy and alternative music in Alsace. Every autumn, the Tanzmatten in Sélestat vibrate for two days to the sound of rock, punk rock, metal, stoner, and hardcore.
Metal Day and Disorder Day
The Rock Your Brain Fest lineup is structured around two days with distinct identities:
- Metal Day: An evening dedicated to heavy sounds, from thrash metal to stoner, including doom and folk metal. Bands like Tankard, Mars Red Sky, Monkey3, and Ultra Vomit have marked previous editions.
- Disorder Day: The day of disorder celebrates punk rock, hardcore, and rebellious music, with bands like Ludwig Von 88, Les Sheriff, Lion's Law, and Dirty Fonzy.
A Human-Sized Festival
Rock Your Brain Fest deliberately cultivates a human-sized format, with about fifteen concerts over two days. This controlled capacity allows for rare proximity between artists and the audience, in an atmosphere that is both warm and electrifying. The mosh pits are intense, the exchanges at the bar are frank, and the community spirit prevails.
Tanzmatten: The Temple of Sélestat Rock
Located on the banks of the Ill river, the Tanzmatten complex has become over the years the headquarters for amplified music in Sélestat. Its concert hall offers ideal acoustics for rock and metal concerts, while the outdoor spaces allow for breaks between sets in a green and peaceful setting.
Rock Your Brain Fest — edition 2026
The 13th edition of the Rock Your Brain Fest will take place on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Tanzmatten in Sélestat. Organized by the Zone51 association, this human-sized rock, punk, and metal festival brings together about fifteen bands over two days, notably featuring Les Wampas, Tagada Jones, Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Opium du Peuple, and Los Fastidios.
13th Edition — October 23 and 24, 2026
The Rock Your Brain Fest returns for its 13th edition on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Tanzmatten in Sélestat. True to its underground spirit, the festival organized by the Zone51 association offers about fifteen concerts of rock, punk rock, metal, stoner, and alternative music, spread over two days with distinct atmospheres.
The 2026 edition this year focuses on punk and alternative rock, with headliners such as Les Wampas, Tagada Jones, Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Opium du Peuple, and Los Fastidios. The full lineup was still being unveiled at the time of verification — other names are yet to be announced.

Online ticketing. 2-day passes and single-day tickets available. Free for children under 11 (ticket to be collected on-site).
