One of the largest funfairs in Eastern France, at the Metz Exhibition Centre
The Metz May Fair is a popular event that makes the city vibrate every spring. Located at the Parc des Expositions on the Champ de Foire, this large-scale funfair brings together over 200 showmen on 60,000 m² of attractions, games, and food stalls for about three weeks.
The May Fair offers a range of attractions to satisfy all desires:
Each edition brings its share of new attractions. The 2025 edition introduced the Scare Factory, a ghost train with about ten wagons, and Route 66, an articulated caterpillar ride with a swinging motion. These new additions help renew the fair's appeal and retain visitors.
The fair is also an opportunity to indulge in funfair classics: cotton candy, churros, crepes, waffles, candy apples, and artisanal confectionery. Food stalls also offer full meals for a gourmet break between rides.
The May Fair regularly offers discounted days, mascot parades for children, and inclusive afternoons dedicated to people with disabilities, organized in partnership with the City of Metz. These initiatives make the fair an accessible and unifying event.
The May Fair returns from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 31, 2026 at the Parc des Expositions de l'Eurométropole de Metz. Over 200 showmen take over the fairground for three weeks of attractions, thrill rides, and skill games across 60,000 m². Free entry, rides are paid.
To kick off this edition, a grand nocturnal drone show is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026. Hundreds of luminous drones will light up the Metz sky for a show combining technology, poetry, and emotions — a first to open the fair.
Two special days are planned for children, with mascot appearances and parades on the fairground:
As every year, a reduced-price day is organized in the middle of the fair: Wednesday, May 20, 2026, half-price on rides. Ideal for families and tight budgets.
The opening on Friday, May 8, a public holiday, will have extended hours (2 PM to 1 AM) — an opportunity to enjoy the drone show in the evening and try out the new attractions from day one.
