The Monumental Projections on the Parlement de Bretagne are a free sound and light show presented every summer in Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine. The listed facade of the Parlement de Bretagne serves as a giant screen for a video mapping that highlights the monument's architecture and its 120,000 stones.
A New Creation Every Year
The show is designed by the Rennes-based company Spectaculaires – Allumeurs d'images, a recognized specialist in monumental illuminations. Each summer offers a new creation, on a different theme, broadcast every evening at nightfall for several weeks. The sound and light broadcast comes from discreet towers equipped with high-power HD video projectors and loudspeakers creating a spatialized sound effect.
A Popular and Free Summer Event
Organized by Rennes Métropole in partnership with Destination Rennes, the event is free to access, no reservation required, and accessible to the whole family. It is one of the highlights of Rennes' summer program.

The 2026 edition of the Monumental Projections on the Parlement de Bretagne, in Rennes, is titled « Au fil de l'eau ». This new creation by the company Spectaculaires – Allumeurs d'images is broadcast free of charge every evening from July 18th to August 22nd, 2026 on the facade of the Parlement de Bretagne.
« Au fil de l'eau » — 2026 Edition
For summer 2026, the monumental projection show on the Parlement de Bretagne offers an original creation titled « Au fil de l'eau ». Designed by the Rennes-based company Spectaculaires – Allumeurs d'images, this video mapping takes the Vilaine river as its starting point and explores the theme of water in its broad sense: strength, memory, connection, and fragile resource.
The show, lasting approximately 17 minutes, is projected onto the facade and its 120,000 stones, accompanied by spatialized sound. It is presented every evening from July 18th to August 22nd, 2026, with free and open access, at Place du Parlement de Bretagne.
