Every June 21, Annonay celebrates the Fête de la Musique in its city center: stages set up in squares and small squares, in parks, on the skatepark, and on bar terraces resonate with all musical styles. Organized by the City of Annonay, the day is entirely free and open to all, with open-air concerts lasting late into the evening.
The Fête de la Musique in Annonay
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Annonay into an open-air stage every June 21. In this sub-prefecture of Ardèche, music freely takes over public spaces: amateur musicians, conservatory students, local groups, and established artists play in the central squares, in parks, and on terraces, from early evening until the heart of the night.
A festival spread throughout the city center
For the 2026 edition, the festival unfolds at numerous points in the old center and its surroundings: Place des Cordeliers, Place de la Liberté, Place du 18 Juin, Parc Simone de Beauvoir, the skatepark, Passage Saint-François, and the bottom of Rue de Deûme host open-air stages, while the conservatory, the Amis de l'Orgue, and several central bars (Le Bar Bar, Le Rive Gauche, Frangin Frangine) complete the lineup. Genres coexist without hierarchy, from amateur practices to concerts by established groups.
