Three stages and twelve free groups in the city center on Saturday, June 20, 2026
In La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, at the gates of Nantes, the Fête de la Musique is celebrated on Saturday, June 20, 2026, starting at 6:30 PM in the heart of the city center. Organized by the City of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, the evening is entirely free: three stage areas host a dozen live bands, from pop to rock, soul, reggae, and world music, complemented by students from the music school and activities from local associations.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city center of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre into an open-air stage. For its 2026 edition, the municipality of Loire-Atlantique, located about ten kilometers northeast of Nantes, sets its date for Saturday, June 20, in the early evening, in a friendly and family atmosphere.
Three stage areas are set up in the city center to host the free concerts. The market square (place du marché) and Martin Luther King street (rue Martin Luther King) concentrate most of the activities, where amateur groups and local bands perform one after another. Food trucks and city center businesses extend the celebration throughout the evening.
The 2026 program brings together a dozen live bands as well as students from the AMEG music school, and involves several local associations that animate the squares and streets: dance, singing, percussion, and world music intertwine in an eclectic evening.
