Every June 21, Montbéliard celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): music groups and local associations take over the city center for free concerts in a festive atmosphere. Organized by the City of Montbéliard, the evening is entirely free and continues until midnight, with a food truck village to party late.
The Fête de la Musique in Montbéliard
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Montbéliard's city center into an open-air stage every June 21. From 5 PM until midnight, music freely takes over the streets, squares, bars, and cultural venues of the 'city of princes,' across all genres and for all audiences.
A festival throughout the city center
Music groups and local associations perform in the historic center of Montbéliard, at the foot of the Château des Ducs de Wurtemberg and in the pedestrian streets of the old town. To extend the evening, a food truck village is set up in Place Saint-Martin, and food stalls complement the setup in Place Denfert-Rochereau.
