As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Tarare into an open-air stage every June 21. Usually, the streets and squares of central Tarare host the concerts, complemented by entertainment from bars, brasseries, and restaurants offering music on their terraces or indoors. The festival also highlights local musical practices, with groups from the René Cassin high school's music option, the intercommunal music school, the choir, and the Harmonie de Tarare.
