Every June 21, Torcy (Seine-et-Marne) celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) with a free day organized by the conservatory and the City. In 2026, the festival will take the form of a musical stroll in Parc des Charmettes in the afternoon, followed by evening concerts leading up to the town hall square. Conservatory ensembles, orchestras, and local amateur groups will take turns on several outdoor stages.
The Fête de la Musique in Torcy
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Torcy into an open-air stage every June 21. The day, entirely free, is organized by the conservatory and the City: students, ensembles, orchestras, and local amateur musicians perform outdoors, from the afternoon until early evening.
A festival spread across several locations
The 2026 edition opens with a musical stroll in Parc des Charmettes: small conservatory ensembles (duos, trios) will enliven the pathways in the early afternoon, before a concert by the extra orchestra from the Vaires and Torcy conservatories at the foot of Château des Charmettes. The celebration then continues towards the conservatory square and then the town hall square, where local amateur music groups will take the stage in the evening.
