The summer festival in Canet-en-Roussillon
Music Sun & Sea has become in a few years the unmissable musical event of the summer on the Catalan coast. Created in 2021 by the town of Canet-en-Roussillon, this free festival offers eight evenings of concerts every summer at the Théâtre de la Mer, a natural amphitheater set on the beach, facing the Mediterranean.
Free concerts facing the sea
The concept of Music Sun & Sea is simple and generous: to offer free concerts, without reservation, in an exceptional setting. Doors open at 8:30 PM and concerts start at 9:30 PM, allowing spectators to enjoy the sunset over the Mediterranean before being carried away by the music.
An eclectic and prestigious program
Over the years, the festival has hosted top artists such as Yannick Noah, Michel Fugain, Jean-Baptiste Guégan, Cali accompanied by the Big Band Brass, Nâdiya, Billy Crawford, as well as the prodigy pianist Nirek Mokar and his Boogie Messengers. The program mixes French variety, pop, rock, funk, Latin music, and international artists.
A unique setting
The Théâtre de la Mer, located on the Promenade de la Côte Vermeille in Canet-Plage, offers an incomparable setting. Spectators are seated in free seating, with their feet in the sand, with the Mediterranean as a backdrop. The atmosphere is both festive and family-friendly, in the spirit of conviviality that characterizes the Catalan seaside resort.

Music Sun & Sea returns for its 6th edition from July 21 to August 12, 2026, at the Théâtre de la Mer in Canet-en-Roussillon. Eight exceptional evenings of free concerts are scheduled, in the unique setting of this natural amphitheater facing the Mediterranean.
The full program will be announced in spring 2026. Doors open at 8:30 PM, concerts start at 9:30 PM. Free entry, no reservation required, free seating.

By bus: Bus lines from Perpignan (Sankéo network).
By train: Perpignan SNCF station, then bus or shuttle to Canet-en-Roussillon.
