Summer music academy and traveling concerts in the Indre
Musique au fil de l'Indre is a summer music academy and a festival of concerts that travels through the department of Indre. Created in 2019 by Yannick Ovide, Mathilde Lane, and Fanny Christiaen, this initiative brings together experienced musicians and trainees aged ten and over for a week of exchanges, training, and concerts. Open to all wind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists, the academy is held at the Domaine de Bellebouche in Brenne, while the concerts spread throughout the communes of the department, from Buzançais to Palluau-sur-Indre.
Musique au fil de l'Indre was born in October 2019 from the shared passion of three musicians — Yannick Ovide, Mathilde Lane, and Fanny Christiaen — for musical transmission and sharing. The association aims to bring together musicians of all backgrounds and levels, from the age of ten, whether they are in their second or third cycle of study or pursuing a professional career, to enrich their musical practice through contact with qualified teachers and renowned artists.
The academy takes place at the Domaine de Bellebouche Holiday Village, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Brenne, in a preserved natural setting between ponds and forests. This exceptional site offers ideal conditions for a week of intensive musical immersion, where trainees benefit from individual and group lessons, ensemble rehearsals, and public concerts. The academy is open to all wind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists.
Beyond the academy, Musique au fil de l'Indre develops a festival component with "off-site" concerts that spread throughout the communes of the department. From the second edition in 2021, concerts were held in Palluau-sur-Indre and Mézières-en-Brenne. The eclectic and generous programming takes to the roads of Indre to bring music closer to the inhabitants, in heritage sites, churches, and community halls.
Since its creation, Musique au fil de l'Indre has continued to grow. The 5th edition in 2024, which marked the association's five years, brought together seventy musicians aged ten to eighty around a program rich in concerts and encounters. The 6th edition in 2025 confirmed this momentum with an ever more ambitious program and musical journeys throughout the department.
Musique au fil de l'Indre benefits from the support of the Departmental Council of Indre, the Regional Natural Park of Brenne, and the Confédération Musicale de France. This festival-academy embodies a vision of music as a vector for social connection and territorial discovery, where collective practice and intergenerational encounters are at the heart of the project.
The academy is held at the Domaine de Bellebouche Holiday Village, in Mézières-en-Brenne (36290). The festival concerts take place in various communes of the Indre department.
Festival concerts are generally free. The prices for the academy courses are available on the website.
