Three evenings of classical music in the open air in Langeac
The Music'Allier Festival is a summer event dedicated exclusively to classical music, organized by the Collectif Symphonique de Proximité and led by the Collectif Orchestral Sous Influences, a touring orchestra of 35 young professional musicians of various nationalities conducted by Ernesto Insam. Located in the heart of the Parc de l'Île d'Amour in Langeac, Haute-Loire, the festival offers three evenings of open-air concerts in an exceptional natural setting on the banks of the Allier river. The program mixes great works from the romantic repertoire, chamber music, and contemporary creations, with the ambition of making classical music accessible to all, including in rural areas far from major concert halls. Each performance is followed by a meeting with the musicians and improvised jam sessions, in a spirit of conviviality and sharing. Entry is free for minors, true to the philosophy of cultural democratization that has guided the orchestra since its creation in 2020.
Born from the desire of the Collectif Orchestral Sous Influences to promote classical music in rural areas, the Music'Allier Festival has established itself as a unique event in the cultural landscape of Haute-Loire. This touring orchestra, founded in 2020 by conductor Ernesto Insam, brings together 35 young professional musicians from all over Europe, united by the conviction that symphonic music should reach all audiences.
The concerts take place outdoors in the magnificent Parc de l'Île d'Amour, a green space located on the banks of the Allier river in Langeac. This remarkable natural setting offers unique acoustics and atmosphere for exceptional musical evenings. In case of bad weather, the concerts are moved to the Saint-Gal church (for the first two evenings) or the Langeac cultural center (for the closing evening).
The festival offers a repertoire combining major works of German romanticism — Brahms, Schumann — with new contemporary creations, demonstrating the vitality of current orchestral composition. The presence of renowned soloists, such as pianist Guilhem Fabre, enriches the program with moments of virtuosity and emotion.
Each evening begins at 7:00 PM, allowing attendees to fully enjoy the evening light. Refreshments and food are available on-site throughout the evening. After each concert, the public is invited to meet the musicians and participate in improvised jam sessions, in a spirit of closeness and sharing that characterizes the orchestra's identity.
True to the philosophy of the Collectif Symphonique de Proximité, the festival maintains an accessible pricing policy: free admission for all minors, moderate prices for adults, and advantageous multi-evening passes. The ambition is to introduce and foster a love for classical music among the widest possible audience, by breaking down the geographical, social, and economic barriers that can keep audiences away from traditional concert halls.
The second edition of the Music'Allier Festival is confirmed for summer 2026 in Langeac. The Collectif Orchestral Sous Influences will return to the Parc de l'Île d'Amour for three new evenings of open-air classical music. The exact dates and program will be announced in spring 2026.
